Quick fixes, fad diets and exercise regimes - every day we hear about something new we should try today to improve our life now.
However, for health coach Catherine Bales, life is a sum of its parts - and no one “quick fix” will ever provide us with the satisfaction we seek.
“It is in the small changes that we make on a daily basis that lead to long lasting, permanent changes in our habits and behaviours,” she said.
With a special interest in the management of stress and anxiety, nutrition, mindfulness and preventative health, Catherine reviews how all areas of your life are connected to identify where minor changes will have a meaningful positive impact.
“It is not about counting calories, or focusing on carbohydrates and fats, and good and bad foods,” she said.
“It’s important to look carefully at areas of your life and discover where the stress points are - whether work is causing you to overeat, lack of sleep is making exercise difficult, if you have time in the day to do something you love.
“It is about creating a happy, healthy balanced life in a way that is flexible, fun and empowering for you.”
Catherine will be sharing her expertise and knowledge at Aleenta Barre’s Healthier ME seminar in our Burnside studio this Saturday 5 September and at Mawson Lakes studio on Saturday 12 September.
The workshops will include a demonstration to create three delicious clean treats, including raw chocolate truffles, peanut afternoon bar and Aleenta muesli slice, as well as providing more information on our 8-week wellness program Healthier ME.
