Why Aleenta BARRE?
I like the message Aleenta BARRE sends - that is reconnecting your mind while toning and strengthening your body using different techniques such as Pilates, yoga and barre. I also like the relaxed setting and the warmth of the Aleenta BARRE community and the supportive Tenders.
What is the Lynda Saunders story?
I am originally a Sydney girl, born and breed. I left Sydney at 26 and moved to Adelaide with my husband who is an Adelaide boy. I have also lived in Melbourne for 7 years, but having lived in Adelaide for 15 years I call Adelaide home now with my husband and son.
I have a background in healthcare. I studied laboratory science and also have a Masters in Health Management. My career thus far has focused on health research, working and managing laboratories. I like keeping fit and healthy, but as I am getting older I feel it is important to improve core strength and keep flexible which lead me to attend the Aleenta BARRE classes. I have certainly improved in flexibility since my first class and enjoy the hour it does for not only for my body but my mind.
What can we expect to see at Aleenta BARRE Burnside Village?
A continued focus on the Aleenta BARRE mantra and having great tenders instructing. Ensuring a quiet and positive energy studio, a place where you can focus on your mind, your body and your health. More classes on the weekend and some special promotional/ social events are planned this year.
What does a rewarding life mean to you?
Having caring and loving people in my life who are positive, who share their knowledge and support each other. Doing new things, always learning, having and showing gratitude! Seeing my son learn and grow into a happy boy.
How do you relax?
Catching up with family and friends over a meal and a good glass of wine (red or white) reading and listening to music.
If you are not at the Barre, what are you doing?
Watching my son play sport....basketball, AFL, cricket, karate and catching up with friends
Fave class: Barre Burn. One hour of an effective fitness class. Walking out of this class having worked muscles that I forgot I had and knowing it was time well spent!!!
Fave excerise: Pulsing with the Pilates ball...... it’s a love/ hate relationship!
Fave shop at Burnside Village: That is a hard question, too many to choose just one.
Fave place in the world: Besides Australia it would be London, love the history there and of course wherever my family are makes it my favourite place.
Fave food: Asian and seafood equally and how can I forget chocolate.
