Our Mermaid Waters Aleenta BARRE Studio will be holding an event on Thursday 27 October 2016 at 5:45 PM – 7:30 pm in studio, in order to celebrate women - extraordinary women that is! We love entrepreurial women who inspire to be more, work hard and want to support and connect with other likeminded women. So, we sat down with the Queensland Ambassador for 'League of Extraordinary Women' - the lovely Sarah Fewtrell, to find out what makes her tick and why she loves being involved with the "League".
3. What is your background?
I am the Founder of online fashion store Sunkissed the Collective. I started Sunkissed as I wanted to create a platform to share my passion for fashion and style and love of the ocean. I actually grew up in the city (Brisbane) and spent most of my childhood dancing and performing before starting a career in marketing where I spent about 8 years before finally deciding to follow my heart and launch my own business. Running your own business can be really tough but I find surfing and yoga help keep me really grounded. I feel so lucky to be able to live right across the road from the beach and to be able to spend time by the ocean most days.
4. Have you tried barre before?
No I haven’t tried Barre before but I grew up dancing and did ballet for many years so I’m excited to give it a try.
5. How did you hear about Aleenta BARRE?
I met Alicia at a League of Extraordinary women event earlier this year and love the space she and the team have created at Mermaid Waters. I am looking forward to holding our event there next week.
6. What are your top 3 tips to be an extraordinary woman?
Be kind, don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and believe in yourself no matter what.
